"I've always believed that opportunities are available here if you work hard, show interest and make things happen for yourself.
I started in Insurance customer services as a Customer Service Representative in 2010, then moved to our support services department, then stepped up as a Team Manager, moving to a permanent role when banking opened in Newcastle. I was successful at gaining a secondment as a Change Readiness Manager, and now I do this as a permanent role, so my career has been very varied!
During Covid, we were the first department to bring in our Work from Home platform and although it was incredibly challenging at the time, it was a huge learning experience and I gained so many new skills from that one particular project, and it also helped me move into the change role I am in today which I love."
